Civil Air Transportation Management

The Civil Air Transportation Management Program aims to train qualified personnel who can

work in the national and international aviation sector, who have embraced aviation culture,

possess strong analytical thinking skills, are conscious of aviation safety and security, and are

qualified in the fields of airline and airport management. Within the scope of the program,

students receive theoretical and applied education in the fundamental principles of aviation,

air transportation management, airport management, aviation legislation, air cargo

transportation, aviation terminology and sectoral practices. It is also aimed for students to

improve their foreign language proficiency and to be trained as individuals equipped with the

professional competencies needed by the sector.

The program will be conducted with the 3+1 education model. Under this model, students will

receive their theoretical and applied education at the university during the first three

semesters, and in the final semester they will carry out their vocational training at enterprises

operating in the aviation sector, gaining the opportunity to become closely acquainted with

working life. In this way, students will gain sector experience before graduation and develop

their professional knowledge and skills in real working environments.

Within the scope of the program, it is aimed for students to complete their vocational training

within the sector through collaborations and protocols to be established with airline

companies, airport operators, ground handling organizations and civil aviation authorities. In

this way, students will have the opportunity to work with sector professionals throughout

their education, gaining significant work experience and a professional network before graduation.

Graduates of the program can find employment in airline companies, airport operation and

management companies, ground handling organizations, air cargo companies, the directorate

general of civil aviation and related public institutions, as well as private aviation

organizations. The main areas of employment include airline operations management, airport

terminal management, ground handling coordination, air cargo operations, passenger services

management, flight planning, ramp operations and aviation security units.
