A+ University
According to the Turkey University Satisfaction Survey, HKU ranks 5th among 200 universities and 3rd among 74 foundation universities in the "Overall Satisfaction" ranking.
Times Higher Education (THE)
According to the results of the "2026 World Universities Impact Rankings" announced by THE, HKU has taken its place in the world lists in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; positioned in the 1001-1500 band overall, it ranks 21st among foundation universities in Türkiye and 52nd among all universities.
Scopus / SciVal Q1 Analysis
In the Q1 publication-rate analysis, in which 2025 Scopus/SciVal publication data are evaluated on the basis of CiteScore quartiles, HKU ranks 21st among universities in Türkiye, once again demonstrating its strong academic performance.
Entrepreneurial and Innovative University
In the Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index led by TÜBİTAK, HKU ranks 8th among foundation universities and 31st among all universities, steadily continuing its rise in this field. Our university also ranks 6th among foundation universities in patent commercialization.
YÖK Barrier-Free Program Badge
With the 5 "Barrier-Free Program Badges" it earned at the 2025 Barrier-Free University Awards organized by YÖK, HKU is among the top 7 universities in Türkiye, once again confirming its leading position in accessible and inclusive education.
Mütercim Asım Library
The Hasan Kalyoncu University Mütercim Asım Library serves to meet the needs of education and research programs. It provides access to printed and digital resources. All services are run through automation, and online access is available via the library website. Online reference and other library transactions can also be carried out. Academic and reliable information resources are accessible 24/7 through our library web page (⊕ kutuphane.hku.edu.tr).
Service network: In addition to the Main Library, a wide service network has been established with the School of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Education libraries and the Student Center branch. A study room specially arranged for visually impaired users further strengthens the library's accessibility-focused approach.
Opening hours: The audio and silent reading rooms are open 24/7 every day of the year, giving students uninterrupted study opportunities. During exam periods, warm refreshments are offered in the evening hours to support long study sessions. The Mütercim Asım Library also publishes the "Culture and News" magazine twice a year to make academic output visible.
R&D and Innovation Centers
Kalyon Garaj — Prototyping and Entrepreneurship Center
Offers mechanical and digital prototyping facilities to HKU researchers and entrepreneurs. Established with the support of the İpekyolu Development Agency, the center provides prototyping opportunities with its Reverse Engineering Workshop, Mechanical Workshop and Electronics Laboratory.
ARBİM — Smart Reference Building and Innovation Center
Carrying out important work in Industry 4.0 and digital transformation, HKU stands out with ARBİM, notable for its energy-efficiency-focused, remotely monitorable structures with integrated smart systems. Comprehensive R&D studies are conducted on the Internet of Things, augmented and virtual reality, robotics, big data and cybersecurity.
Technopark
Established in the OSB through the cooperation of HKU and the Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, the Gaziantep OSB Technopark enables local and international entrepreneurs — HKU students above all — to bring to life business ideas that contribute to the digital transformation of industry.
Solar Panels: Meeting its own energy needs with domestically produced solar panels on the roofs of campus buildings, HKU maintains a nature-friendly and sustainable campus life.
Sports Facilities
At Hasan Kalyoncu University, sports activities are carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports in a way that supports students' physical, social and personal development. Students can join the university's official sports teams and compete in intercollegiate tournaments and matches, while also doing sports recreationally as part of an active, healthy and balanced campus life. With a 1,500-seat indoor sports hall, a fitness center and various indoor and outdoor facilities, activities are held in many branches. Students are offered sports courses, tournaments and participation in intercollegiate competitions. Our university has teams in branches such as basketball, football, table tennis, tennis, badminton, futsal and folk dances. Ranking 4th among foundation universities in this field, HKU offers its students a campus life intertwined with sports.

Nutrition-Friendly Campus: As a result of the assessment carried out by the Gaziantep Provincial Health Directorate, the university was deemed worthy of the "Nutrition-Friendly and Physical-Activity-Supporting Workplace" certificate, registering its campus practices that support a healthy and balanced life.
Golf Course
Home to the only golf course located within a university campus in Türkiye, Hasan Kalyoncu University offers hands-on training to develop the sport of golf and make it popular among young people. Basic golf training takes place on a 6-hole grass course equipped with natural and artificial obstacles.
Social and Cultural Life
Hasan Kalyoncu University offers its students a rich campus life that supports not only their academic but also their social, cultural and personal development. Through student clubs, culture and arts events, talks, seminars, workshops, concerts and social responsibility projects, students can take part in activities that match their interests, gain new skills and experience university life more actively.
More than 300 events are held at our university every year. Highlights include the Golden Baklava Film Festival, the International Islamic Finance and Accounting Conference, the Türkiye Energy Summit, Global Game Jam, Summer Jam and the Zero Waste Workshop.

Performance and Arts Center
With a capacity of 3,000 people and 4,000 square meters of professional stage and sound systems, it is the largest and most modern venue in the region. A first in Southeastern Anatolia, our Center hosts science, culture and arts events.
Housing, Dining and Support Services
To support the sustainability of academic life, Hasan Kalyoncu University meets students' daily needs with an institutional service approach. The facilities offered within housing, dining and health services help students maintain a safe, healthy and balanced campus life. The university holds the "Nutrition-Friendly and Physical-Activity-Supporting Workplace" certificate for its practices supporting a healthy lifestyle.
Transportation: The campus is reached via the city's public transport lines (B53, B89, B39), providing students with an uninterrupted connection to the city center.
Guesthouse
Our guesthouse offers decorative rooms furnished according to students' needs, a reading room, a computer room, a dining hall, a laundry and uninterrupted internet access. Security services are provided 24 hours a day.
In addition, a 752-bed KYK female student dormitory is located on campus.
H-Quick Lounge
Founded by Hasan Kalyoncu University and operating 7 branches, H-Quick Lounge serves the world's most famous coffee varieties to our students.
Sustainable Campus
Hasan Kalyoncu University is one of the pioneering higher education institutions that embraces environmental responsibility as an integral part of its corporate identity and brings a culture of sustainable living to life at campus scale. Meeting part of its energy needs with solar power, HKU offers a campus model that considers the needs not only of today but also of future generations, with its environmentally friendly practices, green spaces, waste management efforts and sustainable campus approach.
The university also makes its sustainability work visible through national and international achievements. Hasan Kalyoncu University rose to 201st in the world with 8,150 points in the UI GreenMetric 2025 ranking, which evaluates sustainability practices and green campus indicators on university campuses. Climbing 174 places in the last 5 years, HKU ranks 23rd in Türkiye and 5th among foundation universities, crowning its sustainable campus vision with a strong achievement.
Within the scope of its environmentally friendly campus approach, HKU has also implemented the Zero Waste Management System and earned the "Zero Waste Certificate" granted by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. This practice is an important step in using resources efficiently, reducing waste, spreading a culture of recycling and making environmental awareness part of campus life.
