Cyber Security
About the Programme
The aim of the Cyber Security Programme is to train qualified technical personnel who can take part in the processes of ensuring the security of information systems, protecting network infrastructures, and detecting and preventing cyber threats, and who can ensure that these systems operate securely, sustainably and effectively.
The programme aims to provide students with a solid theoretical foundation in subjects such as the fundamentals of cyber security, network security, malware analysis, penetration testing, incident response, information security management and cryptography, while also developing laboratory-based practical skills that enable them to put this knowledge into practice. Graduates of the programme acquire the competence to work as cyber security specialists, network security technicians or information security analysts in public institutions, the private sector, and the fields of finance, health, energy, defence and information technology. They can take an active role in critical tasks such as monitoring information systems, attack detection and prevention, analysis of system vulnerabilities, implementation of security policies, and carrying out digital forensics processes.
In today’s digital world, where cyber threats are becoming more varied and complex, the fundamental goal of the programme is to train technical experts who not only use security tools but who also understand, analyse and produce solutions for threats and improve systems.
In line with this, the programme adopts an educational approach that is project-based, application-oriented and carried out in cooperation with the industry. Students experience an educational process in which they can analyse real threat scenarios, practice in simulation environments and effectively use current security tools.
