Faculty of Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
About the Programme
In the department, throughout the period of education and instruction, students are prepared for a career in engineering by having them carry out projects in their courses, by having them use various software programs, and by having them undertake internships at effective organisations.
In the 8th semester, in order to help them adapt more easily to professional life, our students take part in the Cooperative Education (CO-OP) programme, and thanks to this programme our students observe the business world at close hand, combine the education they have received with practice, and can be readily employed after graduation.
Mechanical engineers, while working in fields such as analysis, design, manufacturing, maintenance, and quality, can hold positions in the automotive, defence, energy, textile, aviation, electronics, and metal and materials industries in which these fields are applied.
