Aviation Management

The rapidly developing air transportation industry possesses a multidimensional structure encompassing airlines, airports, ground handling services, and civil aviation authorities. For this reason, the Department of Aviation Management equips students with in-depth knowledge in areas such as managing operational processes within the sector, making strategic decisions, crisis management, sustainability, and human factors.

The language of instruction in our department is Turkish, and a four-year undergraduate education is provided. Our students have the opportunity to complete their mandatory internships during the summer term of their third year at airlines, airport operating companies, ground handling firms, cargo and logistics companies, and the State Airports Authority (DHMİ), and they likewise find employment opportunities in these same areas upon graduation.

Our department is recognized as an authorized examination center by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA/SHGM). Within this scope, courses for which we are authorized in accordance with DGCA regulations are delivered by faculty members who are experts in their respective fields, and the relevant examination processes for our students are conducted within our department. Students who successfully complete the education and examination processes are provided with the opportunity to obtain certification in accordance with DGCA standards. This practice enables students to document their professional competencies and prepares them more thoroughly for the aviation sector.
