The Anesthesia Program of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques at Hasan Kalyoncu University Vocational School has a strong educational structure that integrates theoretical knowledge with practice, designed to train the qualified and well-equipped anesthesia technicians needed by the healthcare sector.

Duration and Content of Education

The Anesthesia Program is an associate degree program lasting 2 years (4 semesters). Students earn the right to graduate with a total of 120

ECTS credits.

Thanks to these courses, students graduate with both a strong academic foundation and the qualifications to work effectively in the field.

Practice Laboratories

Practice laboratory courses are actively conducted in both semesters of the 1st year. In laboratory environments furnished with equipment, students receive hands-on training with the help of manikins. In this way, students learn basic practical skills in a safe, controlled, and well-equipped environment before going into the field.

Summer Internship/Practical Training

Students complete a mandatory summer internship of 30 workdays at the end of the 1st year. In the 2nd semester of the 2nd year (4th semester), they participate in practical activities under the name of vocational training in enterprises, 5 days a week on weekdays.

Attendance Requirement and Discipline

Attendance is essential in the Anesthesia Program. Students are allowed to miss up to 30% of theoretical courses and up to 20% of practical courses.

If these limits are exceeded, students are considered unsuccessful in the relevant course or practice.

This rule aims to help students gain professional discipline and complete their learning processes without interruption.

Graduation and Career Opportunities

Students who successfully complete the program graduate with the title of “Anesthesia Technician.”

Graduates can work in state hospitals, private hospitals, operating rooms, intensive care, and reanimation units.

In addition, students have the right to transfer to bachelor's degree programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
