Artificial Intelligence Operation
Purpose of the Program
The Artificial Intelligence Operation Program aims to train a qualified workforce capable of using artificial intelligence technologies effectively, thinking in a data-driven manner, following technological developments and taking an active role in digital transformation processes. The program aims for students to understand the working principles of artificial intelligence systems, contribute to data analysis processes and acquire the technical skills needed by today's business world.
Educational Content and Learning Outcomes
The program curriculum has been prepared in a way that enables students to build a strong foundation in the field of informatics and artificial intelligence. Throughout their education, students take the fundamental courses of the field, such as Algorithms and Programming, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, Introduction to Data Science, Data Structures and Algorithms, Discrete Mathematics, Artificial Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Object-Oriented Programming, and Simulation and Modeling. In this way, students acquire skills in data processing, algorithmic thinking, using artificial intelligence systems, problem solving and the effective use of digital technologies.
An Application-Oriented Approach to Education
In the program, theoretical knowledge and practical application are carried out together. Students reinforce the knowledge they acquire in their courses through laboratory practices, project work and applied courses. Thus, graduates are trained not merely with theoretical knowledge, but as individuals capable of producing solutions to the problems they may encounter in real work environments.
3+1 Education Model and Vocational Training
The Artificial Intelligence Operation Program is conducted with the sector-integrated 3+1 education model. After receiving theoretical and applied education at the university in the first three semesters, students participate full-time in the Vocational Training practice at enterprises in the fourth semester. During this process, students gain sector experience by working at technology firms, software companies, data analytics centers, R&D units and enterprises developing artificial intelligence applications. Thus, graduates complete the program as individuals who are ready for working life, experienced and equipped with well-developed practical skills.
Career Opportunities
Graduates of the program have the opportunity to work in technology companies, software firms, data analytics centers, R&D units, e-commerce organizations, the finance sector, manufacturing enterprises, and public and private sector organizations that use artificial intelligence technologies. Graduates can take part in data analysis processes, artificial intelligence support services, digital transformation projects, technology operations and information systems.
Opportunities to Transfer to Undergraduate Education via the DGS
Graduates of the program have the opportunity to continue their undergraduate education through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS). Graduates can transfer to related undergraduate programs, primarily Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, and Information Systems and Technologies. In this way, students can pursue their academic development and carry their expertise to more advanced levels.
Preparation for the Professions of the Future
In today's world, where artificial intelligence technologies gain more importance with each passing day, institutions' need for a qualified workforce capable of using artificial intelligence applications effectively is constantly increasing. The Artificial Intelligence Operation Program trains its students in line with the requirements of the digital age, offering them the opportunity to follow current technologies, adapt to the changing business world and take part in the professions of the future.
