About the Programme
The aim of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technology and Operatorship Programme is to ensure that the qualified workforce needed in appropriate positions such as design, production, maintenance, operation and piloting is trained in accordance with a philosophy of quality and service that meets the expectations of the age.
An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is a powered aircraft that does not carry the person operating it, uses aerodynamic forces to generate lift, can fly on its own or be remotely controlled, is expendable or reusable, and can carry a payload. An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System consists of the payloads / mission systems on the aircraft, the control station, the launch and recovery subsystems, the support subsystems, the communication subsystems and the transport subsystems.
