Digital Game Design

Students of the Department of Digital Game Design, throughout their education, are trained in a manner suited to the creative and technical requirements of the game industry by bringing together theoretical knowledge and practice. Thanks to an entrepreneurship-focused curriculum and applied workshop courses, our students are able, even during their student years, to establish their own game studios and begin producing games, and to attain the capability to secure a place in the competitive ecosystem of the game sector.

Our department has signed collaboration protocols with leading companies in the sector such as Digiage, Simsoft, Game Circle, Feel Crafters, Rotatelab, Simurg, and 3D Studio. In this way, students are directly involved in professional game development processes and can gain experiences such as internships, mentorship, prototype development, and publishing even before graduating.

The 48-hour national-level "GameJam" events, organised twice each year in partnership with Gamepus, develop our students' teamwork, rapid prototyping, and creative problem-solving skills and provide them with the opportunity to meet professionals from the sector.

Graduates of the Department of Digital Game Design can take on many roles in the game sector, such as game designer, game developer, graphic designer, environment and level designer, game music designer, user interface designer, character and animation designer, game scenario writer, and game product manager.

Thanks to the interdisciplinary knowledge and skills they acquire during their education, our graduates have career opportunities in various fields such as cinema, advertising, animation, digital media, and interactive arts.
