Nutrition and Dietetics

The aim is to train dieticians of international professional standards who follow, research, and apply developments in the science of Nutrition and Dietetics; who possess up-to-date professional knowledge, skills, and competence; who are able to specialise in their field; who are entrepreneurial and take on responsibility; who respect universal professional ethical rules, universal law, and values; who carry out their profession on evidence-based scientific foundations; who adopt and apply the sustainable development goals and the principles of sustainable nutrition; who aim to protect, improve, and enhance the health of the individual and society throughout life and to increase quality of life; who are inclined towards multidisciplinary teamwork and able to take on an effective role within a team; who possess strong communication skills; and who follow innovations in science and technology and are able to develop and continuously renew themselves.

A four-year undergraduate education is provided in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. Within the scope of the programme, in addition to theoretical courses, students have the opportunity to develop their professional knowledge and skills through applied professional training and clinical practice. The department has been accredited by SABAK for a period of two years, between 2025 and 2027.
