Campus Facilities

On its spacious, modern campus along the airport road in Gaziantep, Hasan Kalyoncu University offers students a rich campus life alongside a strong academic foundation. Classrooms equipped with the latest technology, wireless internet accessible from every point on campus, a library, sports facilities, and social and cultural spaces combine with housing, dining, transportation, and health services to create a holistic experience covering the student’s entire day. The university also stands out as an environmentally friendly campus that generates its own energy from the sun.

Library

The Mütercim Asım Library is the university’s hub for access to knowledge. Its collection responds to the needs of students and researchers with 44,254 printed books, 270,072 e-books, 43,398 e-journals, and 60 databases. It provides access to international academic platforms such as EBSCO, JSTOR, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE, Springer, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, and Emerald, as well as national resources like TR Dizin and DergiPark, and the Turnitin and iThenticate plagiarism-detection tools.

Library services include lending, inter-library cooperation, and material requests; a dedicated room serves visually impaired users. Alongside the Main Library, branch libraries operate at the School of Foreign Languages, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Education, as well as at the Student Center. The audio and silent reading rooms are open 24/7, every day of the year, and warm refreshments are offered to students during evening hours in exam weeks. The library also publishes the “Culture and News” magazine twice a year.

Sports Facilities

The sports opportunities offered under the Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports include a fitness center, sports courts, and well-equipped facilities. Students can join sports teams and take part in tournaments and competitions; the campus also features a golf club. Through its efforts to promote physical activity and healthy living, the university has earned the “Sport-Friendly Campus” award granted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Social and Cultural Life

At the heart of campus life are more than 70 active student clubs and societies. The Performance and Arts Center hosts events such as concerts, theater performances, panels, and ceremonies. In addition to cultural events, the university responds to a wide range of student interests with e-sports programs. Spacious green areas and gathering spots provide an inviting environment for resting and socializing between classes.

Housing, Dining and Health

Services supporting the student campus experience include accommodation through the student dormitory and guesthouse, cafeteria services, and transportation. On campus, a health center, psychological counseling, and career center support are also at students’ side. The campus is reached via the city’s bus lines (B53, B89, and B39).
